Fried mackerels Recipes
Ingredients : – 500 grams pomfret, banana leaves, 4 tablespoons lemon juice, ½ cup grated coconut, ½ cup chopped coriander leaves, 4 green chillies, ½ tablespoon coriander seeds, 2 teaspoons cumin seeds, 1 tablespoon chopped garlic, salt to taste.
Preparation time : – 25 minutes Serves : – 2
HOW TO PREPARE : – Clean and wash the pofrets thoroughly. Make horizontal cuts in the fish fillet making small pockets. Rub some salts into the fish fillet and then pour some lemon juice in it. Let it marinate for an hour. Now take a blender and put the grated coconut, coriander leaves, green chillies, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, garlic, 1 tablespoon lemon juice and salt to taste. Blend all these ingredients into a fine paste. Now apply this paste on the fish and let it marinate for half an hour. Now take the banana leaves and place a fish inside it. See to it that there should be enough marinade in and around the fish. Wrap up each leaf with a fish inside and set it on a steamer. Steam this for about 25 minutes. Just before serving only remove from the wrap and garnish with lemon slices and serve

Fish roll

Ingredients: – 500 grams lemon sole fish fillets, 2 small onions, 2 green chillies, ½ cup chopped coriander leaves, ½ teaspoon garam masala, 1 teaspoon red chilly powder, 1 cup milk, 3 eggs, 8 tablespoons bread crumbs, 3 tablespoons lemon juice, oil for frying and salt to tastePreparation time : – 20 minutes Serves : – 2
Fish roll . HOW TO PREPARE: – wash the fish fillets and apply a little salt on it and set it aside. Beat the eggs in a bowl. Finely chop the onions, green chillies and keep it aside too. Take another bowl and 5 tablespoons bread crumbs, milk, red chilly powder, garam masala(hot spice mix), 1 tablespoon lemon juice, onions, green chillies, coriander, 2tablespoons beaten egg and salt to taste. Mix all these ingredients together nicely. Now take the fish fillet and pour a little lemon juice on it. Keep a little stuffing on one side and roll the fish fillet. Then dip it into the beaten egg and then roll it on the bread crumbs so that it is evenly coated with bread crumbs on all sides. Now take a frying pan and pour oil enough for shallow frying and fry the fillets till they are crisp and golden brown. Serve hot with plain white rice and any curry.

Kodaikanal fish fry
Kodaikanal fish fry

Ingredients : – pomfret fish,pepper, 1 lemon juice,sugar,salt,pepper,bread crumbs,eggs.Preparation time : -10 minutes
HOW TO PREPARE: -
1)In a bowl add lime juice,sugar,salt,pepper and mix together
2)then add the fish pieces to it and marinate throughly and keep it aside for 5 mins.
3)dip the marinated fish one by one in bread crumbs and then in egg.
4)finally add oil in tawwa then fry the fish fliping the both the side.
5)u can serve this fish fry wit some green chutney.Chatpata cuttle fish
Ingredients: – 500 grams cuttle fish, 2 big onions, 10 red chillies, 5 dried chillies, 2 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves, 1 cup coconut milk, 1 teaspoon tamarind paste, 1 ½ teaspoons sugar, oil for frying and salt to taste.Preparation time : – 20 minutes Serves : – 2
HOW TO PREPARE: – Take the fish it and clean it and cut it into slices. Now take a frying pan and pour oil just enough to shallow fry the fish. When the oil is very hot put in the fish slices, ensure they are dry before putting them in. Sauté on a high flame for five minutes. Remove and then put the pieces on paper and drain all the oil. In a blender put the onions, red chillies, dried chillies, coriander leaves and make a fine paste. Now in the pan pour a little oil and bring to heat. When the oil is hot add the freshly ground paste and sauté till the raw smell of the onions leaves. Add the fried fish slices and half the coconut milk. Stir well and then add the tamarind paste, sugar and salt to taste. Mix well and let it boil. Pour in the remaining coconut milk and stir well. Let it cook for another ten minutes or till the fish is cooked yet firm. Remove from flame and serve.
