  • TOMATO FIRED RICE

    Ingredients: – 2 cups cooked basmati(long grain) rice, 3 big tomatoes, 1 pinch pepper powder, 1/4 teaspoon soya sauce, 1 pinch ajinomoto, 2 tablespoons oil and salt to taste.

    Preparation time : – 10 minutes     Serves : – 2

    HOW TO PREPARE: – Take a frying pan and pour the oil. Bring to heat and add the chopped tomatoes. Sauté for a while and add the cooked rice. Mix well and cook for a minute. Add the pepper powder, soya sauce, ajinomoto and salt to taste and mix well. Turn of the flame, garnish with fried cashew nuts and almonds and serve.

  • Sambaal chicken

    Ingredients : – 500 grams chicken, 1 teaspoon turmeric, 2 medium sized onions, 2 tomatoes, 2 cardamoms, ½ inch cinnamon, 3 screw pine leaves, 3 tablespoons ginger garlic paste, 2 tablespoons red chilly paste, 2 tablespoons cashew nut paste, 2 tablespoons tomato paste, 1 teaspoon chicken masala, 1 pinch turmeric, ½ teaspoon coriander powder, oil for frying and salt to taste.

    Preparation time :- 30 minutes Serves : – 2Chicken-Chops

    HOW TO PREPARE: – Take the chicken pieces and put it in a bowl. Add 1 teaspoon turmeric, salt to taste and mix it all up. Now take a frying pan and pour enough oil to deep fry and fry the chicken till its golden brown. Remove from flame and set it aside. Now in another frying pan pour some oil and bring to heat. When the oil is very hot add the cardamoms, cinnamon, screw pine leaves and chopped onions. Sauté till golden brown and then put the ginger garlic paste and chopped tomatoes. Add the chilly paste, turmeric, chicken masala and coriander powder and a little water. Stir well and add the tomato paste. Bring to boil and add the chicken. Simmer and cook till the chicken is soft and the gravy thickens and begins to give out a nice aroma. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.

  • Quick Snack Chips

    BITTER GOURD CHIPS

    Ingredients: – 250 grams bitter gourd, 1 teaspoon turmeric, 2 teaspoons red chilly powder, Oil to deep fry and salt to taste.

    Preparation time: – 10 minutes Serves : – 2

    HOW TO PREPARE: –

    Cut the bitter gourd into thin circles. Add the turmeric, red chilly powder and salt. Add a little bit of water mix well and steam boil it. After it is steam boiled remove it and let it cool. Then deep fry it and roll it in paper so that the extra oil is sucked away. Serve it with rice and dal.

    QUICK RAW BANANA CHIPS

    Ingredients : – 250 grams raw bananas,1 teaspoon turmeric, 2 teaspoons red chilly powder, Oil to deep fry and salt to taste.

    Preparation time : – 10 minutes  Serves: – 2


    HOW TO PREPARE

    Peel the raw bananas and them cut them into thin circles. Add the turmeric, red chilly powder and salt. Add a little bit of water mix well and steam boil it. After it is steam boiled remove it and let it cool. Then deep fry it and roll it in paper so that the extra oil is sucked away. serve it with rice and dal.

    QUICK SOYA SNACK

    Ingredients: – 500 grams soya beans, 1 medium sized onion, 2 green chilies, 2 table spoons oil, 1 pinch mustard, 1 pinch urad dal, few curry leaves,1 teaspoon lemon juice and salt to taste.

    Preparation time : – 10 minutes Serves: – 2

    HOW TO PREPARE: –
    Boil the soya beans with a little salt. Cut the onions and chilly into really tiny pieces. Take a frying pan and pour the oil and bring to heat. Add the urad dal and mustard and let it crackle. Then add the chilly, curry leaves and let it crackle. Add the onions and sauté till the onions turn soft and then add the soya. Add the salt and sauté. Pour the lemon juice and serve.
